Gondola Rides

By most estimates it is only the second most romantic hotel casino in Las Vegas, but don’t tell that to the gondoliers. The Venetian is one of the premier hotel casinos on the Strip, located directly across from the Mirage close to the busy corner of Spring Mountain Rd. and Las Vegas Blvd. it along with her sister site the Palazzo and the Sands Expo make up the largest hotel and convention property in the world.

Located inside the renowned Grand Canal Shoppes you’ll hear the soothing sound of water beneath the happy cacophony of shoppers as gentle streams make there way through the property. On the water are several gondolas where visitors can take a ride as they are steered gently by singing gondoliers in full gondolier attire, whilst they sing to you in Italian.

The Gondola Ride operates Sunday thru Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until midnight. There are also gondolas located outside and run seasonally from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. The last boat leaves 15 minutes prior to closing. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. and cost $16 per person with children 2 and younger riding for free. You can get a private two person gondola ride for $64.

The ride is modeled after authentic Venetian gondolas. They can seat up to four so parties of two may be paired up, much like rides at an amusement park. The ride is half a mile long and lasts about 14 minutes. It is definitely one of the more unique experiences in Las Vegas. They are offered both indoors and outdoors.
