We love Halloween in Las Vegas, in fact we love it so much we made up a State Holiday so no one had to work, Nevada Day I think, but don’t be fooled we just wanted to be able to party for Halloween. Anyway there is a ton to do if you make it here on October 31.
Every club in town has a costume party, the clubs on the Strip like Jet, Rain, The Bank, TAO, and the rest of them get extremely elaborate offering awards for the best costume in the thousands – with people visiting from all over the world for a piece of the prize.
It is sure to be a great time whether you wear a costume or not. The biggest gathering of ghouls and ghosts in one place is probably Downtown, and the best part is Viva Vision is free, so if you don’t want to spend a premium at the Nightclubs and bars at the Strip travel the ten minutes to the Downtown Vegas.
Here are some things to know when you come to Las Vegas on Halloween:
The weather is just starting to change in Las Vegas, and it may be
pleasant or quite cold so be prepared for both.
Try to book well in advance.
Be ready to pay a bit more than usual for rooms on the Strip and
Downtown.
There are a couple dozen haunted houses in Las Vegas. The biggest is always inside of Adventure Dome in Circus Circus. Some of the haunted houses can be pretty intense and may not be for small children. Here is a list of some of the more popular haunted houses in Las Vegas.
Freaklin Bros. is a company that sets up haunted houses in the Vegas area during the Holiday. Years vary, for 2011 they will feature Circus of Horrors and Castle Vampyre and they are hinting at a brand new attraction.
Fright Dome is the largest and is located inside the Adventure Dome in Circus Circus.
Chaos at the Cannery. Cannery Casino is a local spot about 15 minutes north of the Strip on I15. They usually feature Hotel Fear and The Asylum.

Haunted Casino in Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel
Haunted Reef at Mandalay Bay
Haunted Tours at Titanic at Luxor
Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve
Bonnie Screams at Bonnie Springs Ranch about 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas.
Madame Tussauds After Dark
There are many more, however some of the companies hosting them come and go. Areas that generally will have a haunted house are across from Suncoast which is about 10 minutes west of the Strip, and next to the shopping center on Maryland Pkwy next to UNLV.
Everyone loves to dress up for Halloween, whether you want something sexy, something scary, or something just weird one of these shops will have what you’re looking for.
