Ballys

Bally’s is one of the larger and more popular hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. It is described often as a combination of new and old Vegas, located in the middle of the Strip at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo. It is 67,000 square feet and identified by huge neon columns, and extravagant fountain in front, and at the entrance a 200 foot people mover from the Strip for convenience. It is one of the stops for the Las Vegas Monorail and Paris Hotel Casino is easily accessed through the indoor shops and eating area.

The hotel offers a large range of services, and a number of arrangements can be made at the front desk. Bally’s has a rewards program similar to most Casinos on the Strip. Their concierge club features a lounge on the 22nd floor with an excellent view of the city.

Bally’s is in the center of the Strip and is often filled to capacity during busy seasons. The casino caters to an older and more affluent crowd as opposed to a younger crowd or local gamblers due in part to being an older staple of the Strip and its lack of nightlife. It features a number of restaurants, shopping, and many amenities.

Gambling

Bally’s has a large central gambling area on the casino floor with around 1,500 slot machines, and a high limits slot area that features machines with a $1,000 minimum per pull and other slightly lower limit slots. The table limits cover a wide range and are comparable to other casinos on the Strip, rates changing by the crowd and time of year. High limit table games are also available. The Race and Sports Book features 11 big screens and 150 televisions total and seats 256. They do have an awards program as do a number of hotels on the Strip and throughout Las Vegas. Ask your dealer, the front desk, or your concierge for more details.

Ballys Room

Rooms

Bally’s is one of the larger hotels on the Strip with 2,814 rooms including a number of suites. The rooms are well-kept and modern style for the most part. Suites are large but not the largest on the Strip. Rates vary quite a bit depending on how full the hotel is, the time of year, any special events, and the general market. It is recommended to book in advance during any Holiday, during the summer, or whenever a large convention is in town. Bally’s hosts many conventions and may be full even during the off season, mid-week, or other times parts of the Strip may be less active. Check with your travel agent or the hotel before planning your trip.

Price

Though Bally’s caters to an older and more affluent crowd, due in part to the age of the hotel perhaps, room rates are usually comparably lower than surrounding hotels, however all Strip hotels are considerably more expensive than off-strip rooms and this should be kept in mind while budgeting a trip.
