The Bellagio is located at the center of
the Strip at 3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South. It was opened in 1998, inspired by the
Bellagio in Italy. It is one of the most luxurious hotels on the Strip or in all
of Las Vegas and a 5 Diamond award winning casino and hotel. It is 116,000
square feet and is most easily identified by its Italian design and the 8 acre
lake directly outside. The lake is inspired by Lake Como in Italy and features a
water show daily. Each half an hour jets of water shoot from the man made lake
in time to music, and it is one of the most watched free sites in all of Las
Vegas. It is also well known for its garden of hand blown glass flowers which
any visitor may view, and has one of the most visited gardens in Las Vegas.
The Bellagio offers a range of services
and most arrangements can be made through the front desk or your concierge. For
gamblers the Bellagio also features an awards program, one spanning the various
hotels owned by MGM Mirage Corporation.
Bellagio offers a unique combination of
luxury and excitement. It caters often to a higher-end crowd and offers some of
the nicest amenities on the Strip. Bellagio also has a vibrant nightlife which
sets it apart from many other casinos catering to higher end clientele. It is
filled to capacity most of the year and is one of the more popular hotels on the
Strip during all seasons.
Gambling
Among poker players the Bellagio is well known. It has a 40 table poker room and
many very high limit games almost daily. Bellagio features a large gaming floor,
and limits are generally higher within the Bellagio than at other casinos
throughout Las Vegas. They also feature high limit areas with both table games
and slots, and Bellagio is a favorite of high rollers from all around the world.
The race and sports book seats 200, has 137 televisions and 4 big screens. It is
a medium sized sports book but one of the nicer ones in town.
Rooms
Bellagio is one of the largest hotels on the Strip, and in the world. It
features 3,421 rooms and 512 suits and a villa and lanai area with a number of
rooms usually reserved for “whales” or those gamblers who regularly spend in the
millions on a trip. Rooms are impeccably kept and Bellagio is known for
cleanliness, comfort, and luxury. Booking a room in advance is always advised
anywhere on the Strip. Bellagio is one of the more popular hotels, especially
during the summer and Holidays. They also have a large convention center which
may affect booking even in off-seasons. However their convention area is not as
large as many others on the Strip and due to price convention goers often do not
stay at the Bellagio so it may not be as full as other nearby hotels when there
is a large convention in town.
Price
Bellagio is the highest-end hotel on the Strip, and this is reflected in all
pricing from room rates to gambling limits, food, shopping, and more. While
highly rated by customers one of the most common observations is that guests do
pay for everything, even coffee in the morning. This should be considered when
planning your trip.
