Harrah’s is certainly one of the most fun hotels anywhere in Las Vegas, and located right in the middle of the Strip it is consistently one of the busiest places in town. The party starts outside with the Carnaval Court where you will find flair bartenders and live music at certain hours of the night. It is surrounded by kiosks and souvenir shops and certainly has a carnival feel to it. Inside is just as lively with several bars and a lot of excitement at all hours of the day and night.
It is easily identified on the east side of Las Vegas Blvd between Spring Mtn. and Flamingo by vibrant flashing signage. It attracts young party goers and is well known as a “less expensive” option on the Strip – though still pricier than off Strip casinos. It is also a main stop on the Las Vegas monorail route and tickets to the monorail can be purchased at a kiosk here. You can get nearly anywhere on the Strip in only minutes from Harrah’s.
Harrah’s is consistently one of the busiest hotels in Las Vegas and fairly average for the Strip. It does cater for the most part to a younger crowd and is particularly busy during seasons like Spring Break and summer break, though it will generally fill up pretty quickly during any busy weekend, holiday, or during the summer. Booking a room in advance is highly recommended.
Harrah’s has a very large casino floor at 86,664 square feet. They have all of the classic casino games including Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Keno, Let It Ride, Pai Gow, Roulette, Baccarat, and more. They have a wide range of slot machines throughout the casino floor. They have a descent size poker room. The Sports Book is on the small side for a Strip casino, seating 45 with 55 televisions and four big screens.
Harrah’s has 2,526 rooms and suites. It is a large hotel but fairly average in size by Strip standards. The rooms are medium sized, clean and well kept.
Harrah’s is a bit less expensive than some of the neighboring casinos, and within medium range on the Strip. Room rates vary greatly according to current occupancy, season, and according to any special events or conventions in Las Vegas or at Harrah’s itself. Gaming limits are medium and vary according to the crowd and from one table to another.
You have all kinds of options for dining at Harrah’s. some of the popular choices include Café at Harrah’s, Carnaval Court Bar & Grill, Flavors Buffet, Ice Pan, KGB, Ming’s Table, Oyster Bar at Harrah’s, Starbucks, The Range Steakhouse, and Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar.
One of the most popular spots on the Strip is Harrah’s outdoor Carnaval Court featuring talented flair bartenders, gambling, and live music. Just inside is the equally well-known piano bar featuring dueling pianos. There are bars on the casino floor and drinks are free to gamblers, tipping is customary.
You’ll find several shops at Harrah’s including Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Millennium Foto, Jackpot, Magnet Max, Tower of Jewels, Higuchi, Harrah’s Essentials, Carnaval Market, Tu Tu Tango, Carnaval Wine and Spirits, Marshall Rousso, and Landau.
There are no nightclubs at Harrah’s, however Carnival Court is usually open at all hours and the casino is always lively. The piano bar is also extremely popular and Harrah’s is one of the more popular casinos for nightlife.

It is also a stop on the monorail route. Ask the front desk or your concierge if you have specific needs.
They have 25,000 square feet of convention space. Ask your concierge for details on convention space. They are conveniently located in the center of the Strip and the hotel may fill during popular conventions even if not held at Harrah’s.
They have a very small (by Strip standards) Olympic size pool with a Jacuzzi open to guests during the summer months. Ask about pool hours and seasons.
Harrah’s hosts a few popular shows on the Strip including Improv Comedy Club, Mac King Comedy Magic Show, and Legends in Concert lounge act. Ask about tickets and times.
