The Imperial Palace is located right at the center of the Strip, directly across from Caesars Palace and flanked by Harrah’s and The Flamingo on either side. It is designed in a Japanese style and is known for excellent rates by Strip standards and The Auto Collection, which is visited by thousands every year and features a number of classic cars owned by famous individuals. The Imperial Palace is a moderately sized casino for the Strip with just over 2,600 rooms and a large casino floor.
The Imperial Palace caters to a range of visitors, from an older crowd to a young party crowd. It does offer some popular nightlife, and this next to fair rates by Strip standards makes it a favorite for a younger crowd, those visiting for Spring Break or during the summer. At the same time the elegant feel and look and great location attracts a range of individuals of all ages year round.
While not as famous perhaps as the casinos surrounding it, the Imperial Palace none the less does set itself apart in a number of ways, from a lower-key look, better rates, and unassuming ambiance, to exciting entertainment like the Dealertainers Pit where you can play Blackjack against celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Barbara Streisand, Madonna, Liberace and more. The Imperial Palace is often filled to capacity during busy holidays and summer weekends. Reserving a room in advance is recommended.
Gambling
Imperial Palace has a very large casino floor at 75,000 square feet. They feature all of the classic casino games including Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Keno, Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker and Roulette. In addition they have a few games you may not find at other casinos like Wheel of Fortune. They have tons of slot machines throughout the casino. Imperial Palace recently added a poker room to their casino floor. They have a large Sports Book that seats 290 with 230 small individual televisions and 22 big screens.
Rooms
The Imperial Palace has a total of 2,640 rooms and is a very large hotel; however it is about average size by Strip Standards. The rooms are neat and well kept, however it is an older casino and has not seen renovations in some time. While the hotel itself and the gambling are both highly rated, the rooms get an average rating and are often described as typical of a hotel – which is not generally the Strip standard. Most stay for the atmosphere and the prices and this is a great option for those not planning to spend a lot of time in their room.
Price
By the location the Imperial Palace rooms are priced very well, it is however more expensive than most hotels off the Strip. Gambling minimums vary by the crowd and according to how busy the hotel is, but is comparable to Harrah’s and Flamingo on either side. Food and shopping is also in line with surrounding hotels – moderately priced for the area.
Restaurants
You will find several options including Emperor’s Buffet, Pizza Palace, Hash House A Go Go, Embers, Burger Palace, Quesadilla, Ginseng Barbecue and Betty’s Diner.
Drinks
There are bars on the casino floor which serve patrons 24/7. In addition cocktails are served to gamblers free of charge, tipping is customary. A popular Karaoke bar is located next to the Sports Book.
Shopping
There are a number of shops including The Auto Collections Gift Shop, Higuchi, Signature Shop, Emporium, Fun Gifts, Gifts Plus and Whiskey Run.
Nightlife
The Rockhouse Bar and Nightclub is a popular spot for both tourists and locals. A nightclub is located on the roof of the Imperial Palace as well.
Services
The Imperial Palace offers a wide range of services comparable to other hotels on the Strip including maid service; turn down service, laundry, dry cleaning, luggage, room service, concierge and more. The monorail stops in between the Imperial Palace and Harrah’s and nearly any spot on the Strip is a short ride. Ask about shuttle service to or from the airport.

Imperial Palace has a pool and a Jacuzzi.
Shows
Australia’s Human Nature presented by Smokey Robinson is a popular show on the Strip and features songs by Motown legends like The Temptations, Jackson 5, and Four Tops. Matsuri takes place in the same theatre and features acting and acrobatics, and Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas features celebrity impersonators.
