Las Vegas Pools

Wed, Jan 30, 2013

Every hotel on the Strip and Downtown has a pool. Usually admission is free if you have a room key, otherwise admission varies from $10 and up depending on how busy the hotel is, time of year, any holidays, or special events. There may be occasions when a particular pool is filled to capacity, or when non-guests of the hotel will not be admitted, so call before heading down.

Top Las Vegas Pools

Mandalay Bay Pool - Mandalay Bay probably has the most spectacular pool in Las Vegas.

It is 11 acres with a tropical theme, a man-made sand beach, a wave pool with waves up to 6 feet high, and Lazy River where guests can float leisurely through a tropical paradise. Two of the pools are heated. There are 3 Jacuzzi’s, bars, restaurants, and more.

Hard Rock Pool - The Hard Rock always appeals to a younger party crowd, and their pool is no different. The Hard Rock pool is beautiful with a lush tropical theme. Much smaller than Mandalay’s pool at only 4.7 acres, but it also features a beach area with a sandy bottom and it sets itself apart with swim-up blackjack.

Mirage Pool - The Mirage Pool, though not the largest, is perhaps the most beautiful on the Strip. It features 5 waterfalls, a waterslide, amenities, cabanas, and it is heated between 78-80 degrees. The Mirage Pool is only opened to registered guests.

Caesars Palace Pool - While nearly every other pool in Vegas has a tropical theme, Caesars Palace pool was designed with Roman architecture in mind; beautiful statues, columns, and fountains. It has 2 Jacuzzi’s, a bar, drinks, and food.

Flamingo Pool - The Flamingo was one of the first resort hotels in Vegas, and has more history than any hotel on the Strip. Along with being a staple of the Strip, the Flamingo pool is one of the nicest in town. Heated to 80 degrees and modeled after a Hawaiian village, you will find dozens of tourists and guests lounging and swimming whenever weather permits.

MGM Grand Pool – The MGM Grand Pool is one of the largest on the Strip. It features 5 different pools, bridges, fountains, the Back Lot River for a leisurely float, bars, snack areas, cabanas and more. It is open year-round weather permitting.

Bellagio Pool – Bellagio is known for class, and their pool is no different. It features 6 pools each with a unique setting from a Mediterranean Villa to an Old World theme. Luxury cabanas can be reserved, the pool features 4 Jacuzzi’s and is open year-round weather permitting.

Venetian Pool – The Venetian is one of the top places for romance and the pool follows suite with a Venice theme, flowers, fountains, spas, gazebos and more. There are 3 pools and 1 spa at the Venetian, TAO Beach is one of them and it's the wildest pool party in Vegas, and the recently built tower, Venezia, has 1 pool and 3 spas. The Venetian pool is open year-round and heated in the winter.

Luxor Pool – The Luxor pool features several spas and four pools. It is a relaxing experience with an Egyptian theme over 7 acres. It features a bar and grill and other amenities. The pool is seasonal so call for hours.

Palms Pool – The Palms is just off the Strip, and has perhaps the nicest pool off the Strip. It is 75,000 sq. ft. with a Miami theme. It is a great place to be after dark, usually with music, dancing, and a real party atmosphere.

Other great pools in Vegas can be found at Golden Nugget Downtown, Red Rock in West Las Vegas, the Orleans off the Strip, and Alexis Resort in CityCenter. And contact your hotel about their pool.

Las Vegas Adult Pools

The newest trend in Vegas is adult themed pools where women can enjoy European sunbathing (topless) and guys can enjoy the view. These pools have a cover charge and often more of a club feel than the relaxing poolside lounge feel of most of the pools in Vegas.

Some non-topless adult pools include WET Republic at MGM Grand, Skybar at Hard Rock, Rehab party at Hard Rock, Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay, and LIQUID Pool at ARIA.
