Renting Property in Las Vegas

Sat, Jun 16, 2012

Apartments dot the greater Las Vegas area, and it is all a matter of deciding where you want to live, and what prices you want to pay.

The Strip – You can rent property at CityCenter, and in the high rises just off the Strip built by Rio, Palms, Polo Towers, and others. You will pay a premium, in the thousands and more per month.

UNLV area – Inexpensive and close to the Strip. Great for singles, couples, and students. It may be harder to find room for families in this area.

West of the Strip on Flamingo and Tropicana – Both homes and apartments are available. Prices are reasonable.

The Lakes – Apartments for rent, most homes are for sale only, but renting is a possibility. Expensive but a beautiful neighborhood.

Summerlin – Northwest of the Strip, and a beautifully planned community. Moderate pricing and great for families.

Henderson – A suburb south of Las Vegas. Great family living, moderate to high prices.

North Las Vegas – North Las Vegas is actually a suburb, and not just a description of its location on a map. Low to moderate prices on rentals for both homes and apartments. The quality of each neighborhood varies.

Downtown Area – Low prices but many of the rentals are deteriorating and crime rates may be higher.

Northeast and northwest Las Vegas – This is the Summerlin and North Las Vegas area. Moderate pricing, great for families. Homes and apartment available.
