Shopping In Downtown Las Vegas
|
|
|
|
Downtown Las Vegas, unlike the Strip, has
never put great effort forth in providing shopping for the
sake of shopping. You won’t find miles of shops, Jewelers in
every casino selling 50k + watches, or extravagant malls
complete with shows and world famous restaurants within.
However, there is quite a bit of shopping via street
merchants and other odds and ends. You can find street
artists who will give you a beautiful portrait of you and
your family for $20 bucks and up, all sorts of jewelry,
temporary tattoos, and other merchandise right on the
Fremont
Street Experience. |

Pharmacies
The only real mall, with a real mall feel
Downtown is the Las Vegas Premium Outlets. Located on
Charleston Blvd at Grand Central Parkway actually a bit
outside of the actual Downtown area, Las Vegas Premium
Outlets has 150 outlets at huge savings (usually 25-65
percent).
Some newer stores include BCBG Max Azria,
Burberry, Diesel, Kate Spade, Ted Baker, and Marciano.
Some high-end shops include Michael Kors,
Dolce & Gabbana, Aldo, A|X Armani Exchange, and Coach. |

Others are Banana Republic, Ann Fontaine, True
Religion, Ed Hardy, Zoo York, 2b bebe, Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand
Jeans, and Ann Taylor.
Part of the charm of the Las Vegas Premium Outlet
is that it brings many of these brands, which would otherwise be out
of reach or of little interest to a large portion of the population,
to everyone in a comfortable outlet setting as opposed to a boutique
setting which immediately turns off a large portion of the
population – according to a representative. This, plus the huge
savings compared to shopping on the Strip makes the Las Vegas
Premium Outlets very popular.
Groceries and
Pharmacies
Right in the center of the Fremont Street
Experience is a Walgreen’s selling all sorts of odds and ends, and
even a handful of groceries along with filling prescriptions
naturally. Also, on Las Vegas Blvd, south of Downtown and North of
the Strip are several gas stations where you can both fill up for
cheaper, and where you can pick up any item one would find at any
gas station. There are no actual grocery stores Downtown or on the
Strip, see the Malls and Supermarket section for more. |
