Located on Maryland Parkway between
Desert Inn and Twain, it is only a mile or so east of the
Strip, and just north of UNLV. There are a number of
eateries including Famous Cajun Grill, Cinnabon, Great
Wraps, Hibachi San, La Salsa, Panda Express, Dippin’ Dots,
Sweet Factory, and many more. Some of the shops you will
find are Macy’s, JC Penney, Customistic for custom t-shirts,
Footlocker, GNC, Anchor Blue, and dozens of others. It’s a
great place if you are looking for something close to the
Strip, but without the outrageous prices. |

Meadow’s Mall
Also a short trip from the Strip or Downtown, a
few miles north on Valley View. Meadow’s Mall is bit smaller than
Boulavard Mall but also offers a similar array of shops like those
one would find in most malls like JC Penney and Macy’s and others.
In addition you will find great stores for kids like K-B Toys. Some
of the food available within includes Dairy Queen/ Orange Julius,
Haagen Dazs, Pretzel Time, Ethel M. Candies, See’s Candies,
McDonalds, and Villa Pizza.
Galleria at
Sunset
It is actually located in Henderson – which is a
suburb of Las Vegas. Simply go south for about 10 minutes on Sunset
and you will see the attractive façade. Galleria is your typical
large town mall with the staples of any mall incuding eateries like
Dairy Queen and McDonalds. Here you can also find a Starbucks, the
Great American Cookie Factory, Panda Express, Quiznos, and much
more. If you are looking for sporting goods, this is the place to
be. Galleria contains an 85,000 sq ft Dick’s Sporting Goods. Other
Stores include Famous Footwear, Macy’s, New York & Company, Hot
Topic, Bebe, and Windsor Fashions.
Aston MonteLago
Village
A little known cove located in the affluent Lake
Las Vegas area some 17 miles east of the Las Vegas Strip. Aston
MonteLago Village is actually located in Henderson, and not Las
Vegas. Henderson is a suburb of Las Vegas. Aston MonteLago is
beautiful with cobbled streets and an Italian theme. Some of the
more popular shops you may find are Cathay Las Vegas which
specializes in collectibles, PINK – a high-end boutique, Hermitage
Art To Wear, Mountain Chocolate Factory, Tutti Gelati with tons of
authentic Italian ice cream, and Saxby’s. Along with shopping Aston
MonteLago offers a romantic gondola ride and some unique nightlife
including Auld Dubliner, an Irish bar.
The District at
Green Valley Ranch
Another shopping experience located in Henderson,
a Trolley leaves the Strip for the short ride every 15 minutes. The
District is in the center of Green Valley with a small village feel,
European styling, 40 shops, and a handful of restaurants. Some of
the places to eat include Al’s Garage, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Ben &
Jerry’s, Crazy Pita, Elephant Bar Restaurant, Gelato Café at Green
Valley, Cheesecake Factory, and more. Here you can find shops for
mountain bikes and other outdoor equipment at REI, Pottery Barn,
Anthropologie which is a home décor and women’s clothing shop,
Francesca’s, Along Came a Spider, West Elm, and many others. While
here you will find an area for pets, and areas for picnicking. |
