Palms is popular spot for a younger crowd with a lot of excitement and bars and clubs targeted toward over 21 to early 30\'s. It is located just off the Strip, a city block west of Las Vegas Blvd on Flamingo Rd. It is directly across from the Rio.
Amp Salon features modern style and a professional staff. It is across from the Spa at the Palms and has been featured on E!, the Travel Channel and VH1. It has been visited by a number of celebrities including Paris Hilton, Kristen Dunst, Rosanna Arquette and Jennie Garth. It has a modern feel matching much of the Palms overall atmosphere. The decor is mainly chrome and dance music is played throughout for a more energized feel compared to the calming atmosphere of most salons.
One of the draws Amp boasts is "hip" stylists from around the nation. It is frequented by a range of high rollers and celebrities. Some of the unique services include Holiday themed pedicures and pedicures with other themes like chocolate and strawberry. It offers a range of services from nail services to haircuts, coloring and extensions, makeup application and lessons and lash extension. They have a number of high-end beauty products available as well.
It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Haircuts $50 and up, manicure $30 and up, pedicure $65 and up. Appointments are recommended. Tipping is optional, recommended 15-20 percent.
