Las Vegas Transportation

For being perhaps the tourist capital of the world, Las Vegas is actually relatively simple to get from place to place in. You will not experience the kind of crazy traffic you get regularly in major cities like NY, LA, or Chicago, unless you are here on New Years of course (in which case you are better off trying to get around in NY, LA, or Chicago).
However like any city, LV is still easy to get lost if you are not familiar with how the streets work and which way is North. Unfortunately Las Vegas does not have the type of vibrant public transportation one would see in more urbanized cities, there are however a number of options.

For the Strip, trolleys do run up and down every 10 minutes or so. Which are fairly easy to get on and off and you will see where they stop by the signs and by the cluster of folks also waiting. There is also a tram that runs the length of the Strip and makes stops at specific casinos like New York, New York and Sahara, and your hotel will have details describing the stops and run time.
From the Airport you may want to take a limo. There was a time when this was the norm. Nowadays you will want to ask your hotel, but often a limo ride provided by your hotel from the airport is free or the same price as a taxi. Naturally a taxi is an option, and if you are in a large group you can hop on one of the shuttles and save. If you’re by yourself a shuttle is actually more expensive and less convenient.
