By far the most convenient way to get around Las Vegas is a Rental Car. Rental cars offer the most freedom and if you are planning on traveling throughout Las Vegas during you stay it is a lot cheaper than taxi cabs or limousines.

The easiest way to reserve a rental car and ensure the a good deal is to bundle your plane trip with your car rental. Car rentals in Las Vegas and most cities do charge more if you have not reserved your car and simply pay at the window. If you do not have a plane ticket most car rental companies in Las Vegas require separate forms of ID other than driver’s license and a credit card to rent a car.

If you do not want to buy car insurance from the rental company make sure your personal car insurance covers rental cars. Most insurance does cover rental cars and often additional coverage from the rental company is unnecessary.

Rates vary significantly by the season. They are much more expensive on busy Holidays and weekends. Different cars also cost more depending on the size and the style and companies have different rates and charges.

Regardless of any advertising, it is highly recommended you get a price from the rental company before budgeting your trip.
