If some in your group of Spring Breakers is under
21 please see the Young Adult section for stuff to do. While most of
Vegas caters to 21 and over, there is something for everyone. Also
keep in mind that clubs are expensive... unless you are a pretty
girl, then they’re free. The rest of us though will be paying a
premium at these spots.
Bars
Pounding music, $40 cover charge, and $15 drinks
isn’t for everyone. Luckily Las Vegas has tons of great bars.
Literally too many to list but here are a few bars that are always a
great time:
McFadden’s at Rio
Freakin’ Frog across from UNLV
Blondies inside Planet Hollywood
Ellis Island for some Karaoke on Koval south of Flamingo Rd
Stoney’s is a country bar a few miles south on Las Vegas Blvd
Diablo’s Cantina at Monte Carlo
Yard House, Cadillac Ranch, and Blue Martini all close to one
another at Townsquare
The Piano Bar at Harrah’s
Nine Fine Irishmen and Coyote Ugly in New York-New York
Kahunaville in TI
McMullan’s on Tropicana west of the Strip
Hennessey’s, Sidebar, and Hogs and Heffers Downtown
The entire Downtown area in fact is great for
party bars, from the alternative Beauty Bar, to the cowboy bar Brass
Lounge right upstairs from Hennessey’s.
Food
One of the main concerns for Spring Breakers is
how to eat, after all you have a limited budget and most of that is
going to be spent on alcohol and getting into you favorite
nightclub. Vegas has an answer for that, it’s called an all you can
eat buffet and here are some of the least expensive:
Circus Buffet : in Circus Circus, 7 AM to 11
AM: $8.99,
Fantasy Market Buffet : in Palms, 8 AM to 10:30 AM: $5.99,
Ports O' Call Buffet : in Gold Coast, 7 AM to 10 AM: $5.95,
Roundtable Buffet : at Excalibur, 6:30 AM to 11 AM: $10.49,
Sahara Buffet : in Sahara, 7 AM to 10:30 AM: $7.99,
The Buffet : in Golden Nugget, 7 AM to 10:30 AM: $6.99,
World's Fare Buffet : in Riviera, 6 AM to 11 AM: $9.99
For more on how to save money, check out our Las
Vegas on a Budget section. And the shopping section gives you
directions to Supermarkets that are close by.
Where to Stay
The Strip is the obvious choice along with the
popular party hotel/casinos just off the Strip like Hard Rock,
Palms, and Rio, but these places are not always an option even if
you are bunking with half your dorm. If you are looking for better
prices, Downtown is always less expensive and recent renovations
have made many of the rooms just as nice. Downtown is also a great
and inexpensive party spot. See more in the Downtown section to find
out what this area has to offer. Since your young and full of
energy, you probably want to stay as close to the action as
possible. There are a number of conventional hotel/motels like Motel
6, very close to the Strip, and these places will always have rooms
for far cheaper. They usually won’t have a casino inside, but you
could save a lot of money and you wont have to go far to find a
party. |
